Light Tackle Offshore Fishing Charters
Come join us on the Viking II for Light tackle fishing on Cairns beautiful inshore reefs. Cairns reefs offer a variety of pelagic species as well as opportunity’s for a scenic lunch and a snorkel in some of the best protected anchorages the Great barrier Reef has to offer.
Our light tackle charters run April through to September we target Juvenile black marlin, Spanish Mackerel and other Pelagic species using a variety of techniques. We offer trips of up to 6 persons and with fishing grounds located within an hour’s travel time from the marina it is the perfect day trip during your stay in Cairns.
We can also do Light tackle trips with pick ups for guests that may be spending their holiday at nearby Fitzroy Island or Green Island resorts.
If a day trip is not enough of a fishing fix, Viking II can accommodate up to 3 guests for a live aboard charter chasing the best pelagic species our Great Barrier Reef has to offer.
